For situations where regular scheduled visits by a therapist are not feasible we are pleased to offer the services of Caregiver Training and Therapy-in-a-box.
These services provide one of our therapists coming to the client's location and developing customized therapeutic activities geared specifically to that person's unique strengths, needs and interests. Our therapist then trains the caregiver how to do these activities to maximize the benefits to the person they are caring for.
These services are the perfect and most economical way to get professionally designed activity-based therapy into the home for your loved one.
Caregiver Training
- Assessment for unique strengths, needs and goals of the client and caregiver
- 2-3 activity programs are designed based on results of the assessment
- Training for caregivers to gather necessary materials and conduct the activities
- Training includes essential principles to work by, step-by-step instructions, therapeutic goals for each activity, and measurements for success
- Follow up training and consultation available anytime
Therapy-in-a-box
- Same as Caregiver Training, PLUS all materials, supplies, resources and storage containers for each activity
- Everything the caregiver needs is purchased, custom-designed by our therapists for the client, labeled and ready to use
- It's like a fully equipped, tailor-made day program right in the home
- Training for the caregiver on how to adjust the difficulty level of each activity for day to day variations in client's abilities
- Follow up training and consultation available anytime
